Tier8 is a tournament management app for racket sports. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is stored and used.

1. Information We Collect

Tier8 does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. All data you enter — including player names, skill levels, game results, and match history — is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database.

2. Data Storage

• All app data (players, games, brackets, matches, courts, settings) is stored locally on your device.
• No data is uploaded to any server or cloud service.
• Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data.

3. Backup & Export

Tier8 includes an optional backup feature that lets you export your data to an AES-256 encrypted .taldb file saved to your device storage. This file is never transmitted automatically — it is created and managed entirely by you. You are responsible for where you store or share that file.

4. Internet Access

The app requests the INTERNET permission, which is required by the Android WebView used to render the app interface. Tier8 does not use this permission to communicate with any external server, send analytics, display advertisements, or transmit any user data.

5. Third-Party Services

Tier8 does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services. No data is shared with any third party.

6. Children's Privacy

Tier8 does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because all data is stored locally and nothing is transmitted, the app poses no special risk to children's privacy.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
